One-pharmacy towns to suffer from PBS changes

Small towns with only one pharmacy will bear the brunt of service cutbacks if existing and future PBS changes have their expected impact on profitability, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia believes.  

The expected effects of price disclosure and other government PBS cost cutting moves involve reduced pharmacy profitability and cutting of staff and/or services, and the Guild says this impact will be most severe in these one pharmacy towns without other avenues to fall back on.
