Online sick note group moves to video consults

Chronic disease management is also on the agenda

A virtual medical clinic that provides sick notes and specialist referrals has announced it will be offering video consultations with GPs by the end of the year.

Qoctor was first launched as Dr Sicknote in 2015 when it employed GPs to issue sick notes, carer’s certificates and repeat specialist referral letters, based on teleconsultations with patients.

Its offering has since expanded, providing prescriptions and medication delivery nationwide.

But the service, billed as "your quick online doctor", is now taking its model a step further by offering video consultations and chronic disease management.

The expansion plans to also include appointments with psychologists, dietitians, physiotherapists and specialists.

“We plan to offer an increased array of services covering a broader range of medical issues, with the ultimate aim of being able to assess practically any health problem
