Orgasm pill poses serious health risk

The TGA says it contains a prohibited substance

A pill that is said to promote “intense ejaculations that seem like they go on forever” poses a serious health risk, the TGA says.

warning sign

The drug regulator has issued an alert about yohimbine capsules — marketed online under the name Semenax — warning men that they contain an undeclared and prohibited substance.

Yohimbine is a dietary supplement that has been banned in Australia and has been linked to erectile dysfunction treatments overseas.

The TGA says Australian men are ordering the capsules online for sexual issues.

The Semenax website states that the medication can increase ejaculation during sex by creating more "seminal fluid".

“This is attractive not only from a visual standpoint, it is subconsciously attractive on a biological level — a bigger, stronger load demonstrates better genes.”

Semenax also “allows for better overall orgasm control”, the spiel continues.

The product comes with a 100% money-back guarantee.

The TGA safety advisory says it is working with the Australian Border Force to help stop future shipments of the drug.

“If these capsules are found at the border by the ABF, they will be seized and destroyed.”
