Our changing world

NATURAL disasters such as cyclones, hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions with resulting tsunamis have always occurred. But there is evidence that they are becoming more frequent and are causing more devastation. 

The spectacular catastrophes hit the headlines, but the inexorable changes that continually damage many areas of our planet are barely reported in the media.

Before the places loved by countless travellers disappear from our maps, and the lives of indigenous people and animal species are destroyed, we must ask ourselves what we, the travelling public, can do to protect our planet.
