An analysis of Australian paediatric drug dosing guidelines paints a troubling picture of  "inconsistent and discontinuous" drug recommendations across the board.

The study, which looks at 454 drug dose guidelines listed in the Australian Medical Handbook - Children's Dosing Companion 2015 (AMH-CDC), has found that many guidelines do not adhere to the standard allometric scaling principle based on body surface area.
