PainSmart Challenge shows value of S3

Pharmacies participating in a new initiative focused on boosting S3 category products have been shown to achieve an average gross profit of 22 per cent.

The PainSmart challenge was developed by Reckitt Benckiser, in consultation with Sydney-based community pharmacist Nick Logan (pictured).

The challenge involved developing a business plan to address S3 sales, and included examining processes such as ordering, pricing, marketing workflow, resourcing and training.
