Panel to determine rural incentives revamp

Rural GPs should know what will happen to their recruitment and retention cash incentives in the next two months under the rural classification system revamp. 

The Federal Department of Health has established an expert panel to determine how the money paid out under the GP Rural Incentive Program — which covers about 12,000 doctors and is worth around $113 million a year — will change.
