Parkinson's patients settle gambling and sex case

Australians who lost hundreds of thousands of dollars gambling after being prescribed a drug to treat Parkinson's disease are reported to have accepted an out-of-court settlement from Pfizer.

Other patients who developed a sex addiction after taking the drug Cabaser will share in what's expected to be millions of dollars in compensation, Fairfax Media reports.

Pfizer is reported to have agreed to settle with 160 patients who weren't warned about the risk-taking behaviours and addictions that are side effects of the medication.

The settlement comes ahead of a class action
