Too many doctors think tests enter a black box that pops out the answer, says college president

Pathologists are being “taken for granted” by other doctors and the specialty is struggling to attract junior doctors, the head of the pathology college warns.

Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) president Dr Bruce Latham has urged his colleagues to take more credit for their diagnostic work and spruik the attractions of pathology to medical students to stem a shortfall in applications to its training program.
