Patients getting cheaper drugs by spurning PBS

The Federal Government is facing new questions about why some patients face large PBS co-payments for various drugs, despite their being available elsewhere through private scripts for half the cost.

Last week, Australian Doctor revealed that some big-chain pharmacies were simultaneously dispensing multiple repeat scripts for statins, antihypertensives, oral contraceptives, some diabetes drugs and psychotropics.
