Penalty rates protected in National Pharmacies deal

The industrial dispute that led to Australia’s first pharmacists’ strike has ended with a new enterprise agreement for pharmacists employed by National Pharmacies.

The agreement, which will see existing penalty rates for weekend work stay in place, was ratified by Professional Pharmacists Australia (PPA) members last Friday after months of negotiation between the two parties.
