Pharma spends $10,000 a day on advisory boards

The industry’s bid to prove it can effectively self-regulate took another step forward today with Medicines Australia (MA) publishing how much its member companies spent on advisory boards from January to March.

It comes as the Greens prepare a bill forcing greater disclosure of the relationship between doctors and drug companies — something the industry opposes on grounds that it can carry out the regulation itself without changes to law.
