Pharmacists in WA should be writing scripts and taking on a bigger role in managing chronic diseases, says a state government review.


Drawn up by the state health department, the 130-page report says the profession should be more involved in hospital discharge, monitoring chronic conditions and possibly writing scripts for conditions like diabetes and asthma.

It also flags an expansion of immunisation services in pharmacies.

Suggesting the state government should seek further advice on which additional services it should fund
