Pharmacies still discounting after price disclosure: study

The introduction of accelerated price disclosure cuts in April 2012 has not adversely affected the ability of pharmacies to continue discounting medicine prices, according to a recent study.

The research, published in the Australian Health Review, found that there were significant savings for patients who purchased under co-payment medicines from pharmacies with open-discounting policies, compared to other stores.
