Pharmacist reprimanded for inappropriate dispensing

A Queensland pharmacist has been disciplined for unprofessional conduct relating to inappropriate pseudoephedrine dispensing.

The Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal heard allegations that he had dispensed pseudoephedrine (PSE) in breach of the Health (Drugs and Poisons) Regulation 1996 (QLD) and had sold PSE in absence of a therapeutic need.

The pharmacist admitted that he had sold 25 units of PSE to three different customers
