Pharmacists may take control of birth control

New Zealand regulators are to consider the downscheduling of oral contraceptives, a step which is also under review in Australia.

A New Zealand pharmacy banner group (Green Cross Health) and a pharmaceutical company requested that NZ regulator Medsafe reconsider the scheduling status of oral contraceptives at their May meeting.
