Pharmacists struggle with termination drug

Many Australian pharmacists remain unwilling to supply medical termination drug RU486, with some offering no care to patients, a survey has revealed.

Detailed interviews with 41 community and hospital pharmacists has shown many to be unaware  of their legal obligations and lacking knowledge of the level of counselling that is required with the supply of RU486 (mifepristone).
