Pharmacists wasted by government policy

The Federal Budget has once again ignored the value of pharmacists providing services to help improve the health outcomes of Australians, and to reduce the health budget, PSA believes.

In its’ pre-Budget submission, PSA had outlined three areas - at-risk populations, closing primary healthcare shortage gaps, and chronic disease management – where pharmacy has a role to play, but says none of these have been addressed by this week’s budget.
