Price promotions lower pharmacists’ status

The participation of pharmacists in price promotions, unwillingly or otherwise, lowers the professions image, a pharmacy peak body claims.

In its July communique, released today, the Australian Pharmacy Liaison Forum (APLF) warns that pharmacists required, or choosing to, work where the Code of Ethics was challenged by price promotions “act against pharmacists’ image and status as ‘health advisors’".
