Primary Health Networks go live, but don't mention the name

A Federal Government attempt to retitle dozens of Medicare Locals as Primary Health Networks has hit an embarrassing snafu, with the new name off limits because of a long-running court case.

The late government backdown relates to moves by Primary Health Care — one of Australia’s largest corporate providers of GP services, with more than 85 medical centres — to protect the usage of its name.
