Primigravida screening test a ‘game-changer’

Australian researchers have developed what they describe as a “game changing” blood test to determine a primigravida’s risk of the most common complications.

Until now predicting preeclampsia, preterm birth, intrauterine growth restriction and gestational diabetes has been difficult, says lead researcher Professor Claire Roberts, a specialist in paediatrics and reproductive health at the University of Adelaide.
