CONSUMING probiotic milk products is associated with reduced risk of pre-eclampsia, a large observational study shows.

Women enrolled in a pregnancy cohort study in Norway were questioned about dietary intake, including consumption of milk and yoghurt fortified with probiotics. Among the 33,000-plus pregnant women, 1755 (5.3%) developed pre-eclampsia.
