In a study analysing the pharmaceutical records of about 3700 prostate cancer survivors from 2003 to 2014, researchers from the University of SA examined the development of chronic diseases over time.

The data show that prostate cancer survivors treated with ADT were more likely to develop cardiovascular disease and depression, especially in the first year of treatment.
