Professor rips into paediatric acupuncture study

Big news this week in the mainstream and social media is that acupuncture can reduce the amount of time that colicky babies spend crying.

The story, which was even picked up by The BMJ, comes from the release of a small study that suggests two types of acupuncture are superior to gold standard treatment for colic.

The reports have now prompted a UK professor of pharmacology to try to put it all into perspective.
