Program aims to boost mental health role

Community pharmacy staff are being invited to participate in a program that aims to improve the role pharmacy plays in mental health management and care.

The Griffith University-run Mental Health and Community Pharmacy Project, a Fifth Community Pharmacy Agreement Research and Development Program aligns with the federal Government’s focus on mental health as a National Health Priority Area.

The project will assist pharmacy staff to improve their skills to work with mental health consumers to get the best out of their medication.
