Within a few months, for the first time since late 2010, PSR committees will be convened.

The Senate committee reported that “the concept of peer review as the most appropriate vehicle for a regulatory framework to protect the integrity of the MBS and PBS programs has been supported in the submissions...”

In their submissions, colleges and the AMA strongly supported peer review. The committee quoted the RACP: “It is important that the decision about whether the practice is appropriate is made by professional peers with adequate understanding of the practice and profession...”
