Psychotherapist in hot water over Medicare billing
A psychotherapist who spent more than four years billing Medicare for every patient who attended his weekly group sessions has been found guilty of professional misconduct.
NSW mental health nurse practitioner William Stone spent more than four years billing Medicare for each of his patients who took part in weekly group psychotherapy sessions, which included singing, playing chess and “sharing skills”.
But the approach has landed him in hot water.
