Push for changes to diagnostic imaging services funding

MORE than 20,000 radiology patients have presented personal messages to the Minister for Health and Ageing demanding better funding for diagnostic imaging services, as gap payments create a barrier for many patients.

The messages were handed to the Minister for Health and Ageing, Nicola Roxon, today as part of a joint initiative by cancer patient advocacy group Cancer Voices Australia and peak body for specialist radiology providers, the Australian Diagnostic Imaging Association (ADIA).
