Push for GPs to do more for ill workers

Occupational physicians are calling for GPs to use case conferencing to help injured and ill employees return to work sooner.

A position statement from the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) says case conferencing involving the GP, employee, employer and other relevant parties can facilitate faster and more effective rehabilitation for affected workers than just medical certificates.
