The suicide crisis among young Indigenous Australians is the subject of an inquiry by the WA Parliament. Last month, it heard there was a huge duplication of mental health services in some communities — in one case, a remote community of just 200 people had more than 40 service providers. Dr Tracy Westerman (PhD) (pictured), a clinical psychologist who has worked in Indigenous communities across the state, explains the situation.
