RACGP in last-ditch push over ‘double dip’ ban

The RACGP is making a last-ditch attempt to stop the looming ban on GPs so-called "double dipping" for chronic disease MBS items, but the Federal Government is remaining staunch.

The ban, announced last year and due to take effect this November, will prevent GPs from claiming rebates for both a standard consultation and a chronic disease management plan for a patient on the same day.
