RACGP says new BP targets are ‘confusing’

The new blood pressure targets are confusing and not in accord with an absolute risk approach of predicting cardiovascular disease risk, the RACGP argues.

The organisation says while the National Heart Foundation guidelines are a helpful reference, “it is unfortunate” they are inconsistent with the NVDPA absolute risk guidelines.
“This could be seen as a move away from, or weaken
