RACP goes a step too far for some
The Royal Australasian College of Physicians is being accused of “thought control” after axing a talk by Dying with Dignity activist Dr Rodney Syme at its annual conference on Monday.
The college had invited Dr Syme (pictured) to headline a plenary session on end-of-life care as part of a move to create an adventurous program for the conference.
But engaging Dr Syme was a step too far for some. The Victorian urologist was told on 8 May that he had been dropped, against the organisers’ wishes, because an undisclosed number of palliative care specialists
