RACP says it is investigating validity of president’s expulsion after EGM chaos
First, AusDoc receives reports of a fracas during this morning’s Royal Australasian College of Physicians meeting, then reports of NSW Police turning up.
This is followed by news that the police have left the building but that college members have voted to boot out college president Professor Jennifer Martin.
And then, within an hour or so, comes a statement from the college board saying that this is wrong, that it suspects the vote is invalid and the college president is going nowhere.
The tragicomic sagas engulfing the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) are never-ending and legendary, but even by those standards, today was a spectacular blow up.
