RACP spent $150k taking own members to court

The Royal Australasian College of Physicians spent more than $150,000 in legal fees taking its own members to the Federal court, it has emerged.

The costs were racked up during the bitter, ongoing row between the college and a 121-strong group of rebel members who are demanding an open, democratic reform process.

Revealed in a recent college newsletter, the bill includes $76,000 in legal costs relating to a reform motion proposed by the rebels, led by Professor Paul Komesaroff.
