RACP in turmoil over ethics

The Royal Australasian College of Physicians mysteriously sacked its own ethics committee just days after it released controversial guidelines urging doctors to ditch free drug samples, it has emerged.

The behind-the-scenes turmoil has emerged in open letters from two of the committee's highest-profile members, who have written to the college's president imploring him to rethink the disbanding of the Ethics Expert Advisory Group.
