'Reckless' GP worked without insurance
A GP who practised without indemnity insurance for five years has lost an appeal
against his suspension, with judges noting his lack of remorse.
Sydney GP and cosmetic surgeon Dr Il-Song Lee was found guilty of professional misconduct
in October last year for practising without indemnity insurance between 2002 and 2007.
Suspending him for 10 weeks, the Medical Tribunal of NSW blamed his behaviour on a
combination of factors, including his “poor administration”, his “casual attitude” to confirming his cover,
