Registrar hit with new suspension after 'women deserve to be raped’ posts

Medical board says it needs to 'maintain confidence in the medical profession'

The emergency medicine registrar who declared "some women deserve to be raped" has been suspended indefinitely by the medical board of Australia following a public outcry.


Dr Christopher Kwan Chen Lee was originally served with a six-week ban by the Tasmanian Health Practitioners Tribunal after he admitted to posting a series of violent and sexist comments in an online forum three years ago.
