Registrars want terms and conditions to be extended

Currently the NMTCs apply to registrars in their first two six-month terms, leaving more experienced registrars to negotiate a contract individually with their supervisor.

“Often that works really well… but a few practices are possibly spoiling it for the rest by undercutting terms for us because [advanced] registrars aren’t covered,” said Dr Nina Robertson, from the General Practice Registrars Australia (GPRA) NMTC subcommittee.
