Registration standards toughened up

Pharmacy will have a tougher new registration standard relating to English language skills.

Coming into effect from 12 July, the new standard tightens up the language criteria for applying for pharmacy registration

In its latest communique the Pharmacy Board of Australia says applicants undergoing the IELTS (academic module) test will be required to “achieve a minimum overall score of 7 and a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking)”.
