Regular sunscreen prevents skin ageing

Applying sunscreen on a regular basis significantly reduces skin ageing, Australian research finds.

A Queensland Institute of Medical Research study has shown middle-aged people who regularly applied sunscreen over a four-year period were 24% less likely to show increased ageing, compared with those classed as "discretionary" sunscreen users.

Using skin surface replicas of the back of the hand, the study found people with moderate photoageing who used sunscreen at least 3-4 times a week
