Report identifies leading cause of premature death

Cancer is the leading cause of premature death in Australia, according to a report from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare.

It shows cancer is causing the greatest loss of life in 55-64 year-olds while cardiovascular disease is the major cause of death among people aged 85 and over.
