Researchers test quadruple-dose flu shot

Giving nursing home residents a high-dose flu shot could reduce the number of hospital admissions in flu season.

A US study involving 50,000 residents, of whom over 14,000 were over the age of 90, shows those who receive vaccinations with quadruple the standard dose are 1.2% less likely to be admitted to hospital than those who receive the normal dose.
