Rudd telehealth grant to save nurses time
Deputy Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the government was giving the money to Feros Care’s My Clinic At Home program to enable nurses to monitor patients at home via the National Broadband Network (NBN). The measure would save 160 hours of travel a year, he added.
The announcement coincided with the official switching on of the NBN at Coffs Harbour.
Mr Albanese said the telehealth initiative was an example of what the NBN made possible.
“Someone in their own home can upload their basic health information,
