A number of pharmacists are ready to simply close their doors and walk away from their businesses, federal parliament has heard.
During a week in which the Medical Research Fund bill passed Parliament, and there was debate over the PBS reform measures, the “squeeze” being put on community pharmacy also got a mention.
Speaking on the Tax Laws Amendment (Small Business Measures No. 3) Bill 2015, which is supported by both major parties, Tony Zappia, MP for Makin (ALP, SA) said he had been approached by pharmacists in his electorate about their fears for their business future.
