Sick doctors get their own clinic in SA

Doctors will be the only patients at a new general practice opening in Adelaide this month, which aims to tackle poor health and burnout in the profession.

Dr Roger Sexton, the medical director of the Doctors’ Health South Australia clinic, said about 2500 doctors in SA had been identified as potential patients for the clinic, which received leftover funding from the SA medical board when it dissolved in 2010.

“We’ve done our homework on this and we hope it’s going to be taken up well,” he told Australian Doctor
