Sinodinos tipped as next health minister
Cabinet Secretary Arthur Sinodinos is being tipped as the next health minister.
This follows former Health Minister Sussan Ley's resignation amid scrutiny of her use of expenses for travel to the Gold Coast, where she bought an apartment, and for charter flights between capital cities.
Mr Sinodinos is acting health minister at present, and Fairfax and News Corp have reported that Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull may make the appointment permanent.
Labor isn't holding out hope for a new minister to make changes to the coalition's health policy.
"I don't think it's going to matter who the new minister is, they have got a pretty poor agenda in health and each one of them has just been implementing what Malcolm Turnbull has been telling them to do," opposition health spokesperson Catherine King told reporters in Ballarat.
