On-site aged-care GPs a success
Nine GPs are now working on-site at BUPA aged-care facilities under a scheme that has already reportedly reduced falls and hospital admissions.
The program, which has been running for about 12 months, was introduced to help improve aged-care residents' access to primary care services.
BUPA clinical services improvement director Maureen Berry told Australian Doctor that it had been hard to find the right GPs, but once they had they were "marvellous".
There was also some anecdotal
