Pharmacists need a CPD plan to show how they maintained competency via professional development over the past year, under new rules introduced in December.
Documents on the Pharmacy Board’s website suggest pharmacists will need to declare whether they had a plan, and met its targets, when they apply to the Pharmacy Board of Australia for annual registration in November.
But Australian College of Pharmacy general manager Jenny Bergin estimates 90% of pharmacists haven’t yet written a plan, and many wouldn’t even know where to start.
