So, there’s only one contraindication for warfarin!

The only contraindication of warfarin is pregnancy.

That’s according to Wikipedia, which according to two new studies regularly offers incomplete and inaccurate drug information.

That’s a concern because the site is reportedly becoming increasingly popular among patients, doctors and pharmacists.

One study compares Wikipedia content with product inserts for 33 of the top 200 US medications.

Wikipedia scored a median 14.73 out of 42, showing its information is consistently neither accurate nor complete.

It provides “substantially less” safety data, including contraindications, dosage and side-effects than product inserts, the authors write in the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association.
